The release compiles music from the last four Everything Is Recorded solstice and equinox projects—seasonal releases that blend experimental, electronic, and global influences, curated by Richard Russell, founder of XL Recordings. The album features contributions from an extensive roster of artists, including Sampha, Florence Welch, and CASISDEAD. The series explores themes of transition, time, and the natural cycle, with each release tied to a solstice or equinox date.
Maharishi has previously partnered with Everything Is Recorded on each of these four seasonal projects, contributing artwork and limited-run garments that reflect shared interests in ritual, environment, and cultural storytelling. This new compilation marks the first time all four instalments are brought together on vinyl.
The visual presentation of the LP and T-shirt is designed by Hardy Blechman, Maharishi’s founder and creative director, whose artwork draws on the cyclical nature of time and environmental symbolism.
